Two People Killed in Fatal New Bedford Crash

NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — Two people were killed in a fatal crash in New Bedford on Friday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, troopers from the Dartmouth barracks responded to a motor vehicle crash September 6 on Interstate 195 East in New Bedford near Exit 24A.

State police said preliminary information indicated that a vehicle carrying five people rolled over. Two of the people were pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries and the other three people were all transported to a local hospital.

No further information about the crash or the victims has been released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bristol County Detective Unit as well as the State Police’s Crime Scene Services Section and Collision Accident Reconstruction Services.
