The Working Waterfront Festival in New Bedford is suspending activity for one year in 2016 and will return in 2017 as a biennial event, according to sources.

This year's Working Waterfront Festival on New Bedford State Pier has a new contest for seafarers and landlubbers alike- a Nautical Tattoo Contest!

Part of this weekend's Working Waterfront Festival will include free tours of fishing vessels. There are so many different types of boats that are each designed to bring in specific types of marine life. This festival this weekend is a great opportunity for the whole family to learn more and appreciate our New Bedford working waterfront.
