New Bedford Public Schools officials say the district is prepared to combat cyberattacks after a ransomware attack in Swansea downed networks and left schools closed across that district Wednesday.

All public schools in Swansea will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 4, due to a ransomware attack, the district superintendent announced via Twitter on Tuesday evening.
