It happens every year. The threat of West Nile Virus, and EEE. So, this Friday, the city's first spraying will take place.

"Hurry up!  Get in the house," I bark at my kids as they get out of the car.  "Quick!  Before a mosquito gets you!"  My kids must think mosquitoes are like the bogeyman.  It's hard to remember when exactly we got here.  When we were kids, we had to come home when the street lights came on...

After hearing in the news about mosquitos in the New Bedford/Fall River area infected with West Nile, of course I end up getting bit by a mosquito today.

You hear that annoying buzz in your ear, and you raise your hand to smack a mosquito. You could be avoiding a serious disease in the process.
