The Whaling City Festival returned to New Bedford this past weekend, and while President Mike Sylvia said it was a big success, it wasn't without issue.

New Bedford’s Whaling City Festival can stay open later, after an apparent reversal by the Board of Health of its decision the festival should close at 6 p.m.

New Bedford has had many events canceled for 2021, including some of the biggest, but one of the marquee events, the Whaling City Festival, will be happening.
