Nine local high school marching bands performed before a large crowd and sunny skies Sunday at McCoy Field during New Bedford High School's 31st Annual Marching Band Competition.
Word from Met Life Stadium in New Jersey is that the Dartmouth High School Marching Band captured second place in the USBABDS National Championships. Their score was 97.125.

The New Bedford High marching band seems to be putting itself back on the map as they won Division 3 at the 28th annual competition Sunday afternoon. "Everyone just put in all the energy they had for their home crowd." said senior Ashely Souza.
The problem with having your sousaphone players march backwards is that if one goes down, they all go down. A fact clearly evidenced by this video of seven marching band players piling one on top of the other during a halftime show.
