Hurricane of 1938

During the Great Hurricane of 1938, Rhode Island's Whale Rock Lighthouse was torn from its base, killing lighthouse keeper Walter Eberle.

With the hurricane season already upon us, my Grandfather took me down memory lane to the days before storms had names.
