This weekend's gala at the Whaling Museum could help fund clinical trials that would save the lives of countless babies with heart defects.

The Healing little Hearts galas already raised over $1 million for heart research, but next month's could push the ball over the goal line.

The goal at the last annual Healing Little Hearts gala was one million dollars but they still need your help to finish what they started.

Imagine handing your 10 day old baby over to a team of doctors for open heart surgery.  Now, imagine that the tiny device that these amazing doctors carefully place inside your baby's body needs to be repeatedly replaced until the baby is a full grown adult...

Couldn't have asked for better weather today for the Healing Little Hearts 5K and Fun Run in Mattapoisett. Kids of all ages started off the day with the "Fun Run" (pictured above), followed by a 5K road race. Ironically, the kids dominated the road race, as well...
