Faunce Corner Road

Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a Fall River man in Dartmouth on Saturday night.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced today that segments of Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic overnight from Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 15.

State Representative, Chris Markey has spoken with the "Mass Highway" officials and workers about how to fix the huge problem of construction related traffic on Faunce Corner Road.

The Faunce Corner Road 1-195 intersection construction will begin today. Be prepared for backups in what is already one of the most congested areas in Dartmouth.  How long will the construction take?  About 2 ½ years!  Completion date is May of 2017...
