At about 10:45 am a jolt was felt on parts of the Southcoast today. We felt it here at Fun 107 in Fairhaven and according to Facebook posts, some felt it in the South End of New Bedford, and parts of Mattapoisett. An earthquake of 1.9 magnitude was reported  by the Weston Observatory in Massachusettes just north of New bedford...

It's not all too common you hear about an earthquake on the East Coast, I think the last one was in Virginia, but Maine felt a 4.6 earthquake tonight.

Deb and I just felt it in the studio. So did our friends in Taunton, Berkley, and some in Dartmouth. It lasted about 10 seconds, but it was enough for us to notice a bit of swaying.
