Dartmouth is far from the only Massachusetts community to use what some might deem an offensive term for a high school team name.

Dartmouth's Indian logo may have come under fire as of late, but a town hall display shows the town has long revered its Native American history.

Wampanoag tribe members from Aquinnah sent a letter to Dartmouth's School Committee on Monday urging them to keep the district's Indian logo ahead of a forum on the issue on Tuesday.

Lynch, who won more than 200 games and won four Super Bowls with the Dartmouth High Indians, has passed away at the age of 84.
