"Family Guy" has referenced New Bedford at least twice in its two-decade run on Fox. Whaling City connections to the show run even deeper than that, too.
As a child of the 80s I loved watching Jem and the Holograms. It was right up there with She-Ra as my favorite cartoon and when I learned of a movie remake a few months ago I was very excited. And now I have more reason to be psyched about Jem!
'Captain Planet and the Planeteers' was a mildly popular, environmentally-friendly cartoon that ran from 1990 through 1996. And like so many childhood favorites it is being shopped around as a possible new movie franchise. Sony has taken the bait, and are working on turning the cartoon into a feature length film.

We love that there are so many creative people in this world lately. This husband took the opportunity to record his wife - who had a little too much to drink - telling what she thought was a hilarious story about two corn chips that meet on the school yard. His work, and her dedication to telling this story are what makes this incredibly awesome.
