New Bedford police arrested two men in two separate car thefts just hours apart on the same day, beginning with a resident who found a man sleeping in their yard — only to have him allegedly steal their car.

New Bedford Police have arrested a suspected North End vehicle breaker on Monday after he allegedly stole a credit card from a car and then used it at two local businesses.
