Fall River Police are searching for a woman they believe attempted to rob a bank in the city on Monday before thinking the better of it.

New Bedford Police arrested a man they say robbed a bank last week in the North End. 34-year-old David Frates has been charged with masked armed robbery and putting a person in fear for the purpose of stealing, after police say he held up the St. Anne's Credit Union on Acushnet Avenue last Tuesday at gunpoint.
