Registering To Vote Is Easier Than You Think

We Americans are so lucky.  We are actually invited to take part in Government and in choosing our leaders.  And if you ever thought that your vote doesn't count,  just look back at the 2000 Presidential election.   It amazes me that so many of us pass up this privilege we have been given.  There is a very important election coming up in less than four weeks.  If you are not yet registered to vote, you have until Wednesday, October 17th.

The requirements include being an American Citizen, and being at least 18 years or older by or on election day, Tuesday November 6th.  And to make it easy, there are several voter registration events scheduled for our area.   This Saturday, you can register at Market Basket in New Bedford between 11am and 1pm, at Keith Middle School between 8am and 12:30pm, or at United Front from 2:15 til 4pm.    You can also log onto www.sec.state.ma.us/ for more information on how to register.  Please do it soon, the deadline is next Wednesday.
