Outdoor Fun in Wareham
It's one of those festivals the locals try to keep a secret from the tourists.
The fourth annual Wareham Oyster Festival is an old-fashioned street fair with a huge variety of foods, live music, great crafters, and fun stuff for the kids too. It's on Sunday, May 28 on Main Street, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a full slate of additional activities during the week leading up to the festival.
The festival has all types of foods, with a focus on shellfish of course. You'll enjoy live music and good company. Music by the Southcoast Jazz Orchestra, classic rock band Synthesis, and a few others. Shellfish purveyors from throughout southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands, and Rhode Island will be at the festival.
The other events happening during Oyster Festival Week include the Wareham Oyster 5K which the kids love to take part in. The race will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Wareham, the Oyster Gala to benefit the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and an educational series presented by our friends at the Buzzards Bay Coalition.
Get your friends together for a fun week of events happening in Wareham :)
