Olive Garden sold all 1,000 tickets of it's Pasta Passes on Monday, and it didn't take long.

The $100 Pasta Pass allows the holder to unlimited pasta and soft drinks for seven weeks, but limited the pass to only 1,000 available. When Olive Garden put the Pasta Pass up for sale at 3 p.m., all 1,000 were gone by 4:15. The math for this furious series of transactions comes out to about one pass sold every 5 seconds.

According to a Time.com article, the high demand for these Pasta Passes has even lead to second-hand sales online.

The original purpose for the Pasta Pass event apparently was to help promote the return of the Never Ending Pasta Bowl. Olive Garden took to Facebook and Twitter with the handle #PastaPass for the initial promotion getting everyone excited for never ending pasta. You can even find a countdown to Never Ending Pasta Bowl on the Olive Garden website, which begins on Sept. 22.
