Michael Rock Received the Weirdest Package in the Mail

We get a lot of mail here at Fun 107, but I can't remember the last time I got a piece of mail that had me this confused.

Late last week a large manila envelope arrived on my desk. We get a lot of random things sent to us from record labels. It's not unusual to get a flask of whiskey from DJ Khaled or Vogue magazines with Taylor Swift on the cover. Any number of random promotional items will show up on my desk everyday.

I finally got around to opening up this manila envelope this morning before the start of the show. I never expected to find this.

Inside was a "Certificate of Award" for hard work and dedication. Awarded to "Kelvin Rivera" from "The Proud Mom's Club". A letter congratulated Kevin for "finishing another awesome school year."

There was also a $25 gift card to TGI Fridays and another mystery gift card addressed to Kelvin and a friend.

So here's the thing. I have no idea who Kelvin is. My only guess is that Kelvin might be a Fun 107 intern, but I asked around and no one knew of a Kelvin.

So many questions. Who are the members of the "Proud Mom's Club" and who is Kelvin? Is Kelvin's mom one of the people in the club? If so, why wouldn't she just give Kelvin the award personally?

The return address was from a home on Parker Street in New Bedford.

We may head out there after the show.
