A study shows that women on the Southcoast between the ages of 24 and 32 may actually be taken more seriously at work if they spend more time working .on their looks.

According to WCVB, the study suggests that women between 24 and 32 that spend a lot of time on their looks are more likely to get a job, promotion and get paid more. The study also suggests that more attractive people get paid up to 20% more than less attractive people.

Although this pertains to both men and women the judge of attractiveness is very different. For women, the attractiveness is based on the amount of time they spend getting ready but for men it is more about natural good looks.
