I am a licensed attorney and real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bridgewater State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law. For the first seven years of my professional career, I operated a solo law practice in New Bedford covering a diverse range of practice areas with a primary focus on criminal defense. Currently, I work in the nonprofit sector helping individuals with special needs get access to critically needed clinical services and opportunities for employment. As a realtor, I hang my broker’s license at Lanagan & Co. Inc., helping homeowners list their properties and prospective buyers find a property that best suits their needs. Politically, I have been active in the campaigns of several Democratic candidates seeking elected office at the municipal, state, and federal level. I also have the honor of serving my hometown of Fairhaven in elected office as a member of Board of Public Works Commissioners, and as the Chairperson of the Fairhaven Commission on Disability. I began my radio career as a contributor to The Chris McCarthy Show in 2018 when Chris was looking for a perspective from the left to feature on his program. Then I became the host of my own weekly program The Marcus Ferro Show that aired on Saturday afternoons. Now, Chris and I are thrilled to be working together again to usher-in the return of evening local talk radio as cohosts of SouthCoast Tonight airing weeknights 7-10pm.
