A black Ford F-250 went off the road on Wednesday, February 17th, around 3:00 PM on the south side of the Fairhaven/West Island Line on Goulart Avenue prior to striking a lamp standard.

The driver was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital in critical condition.

Several Fairhaven and Mattapoisett Police and Responders jumped in with full uniform immediately at arrival and were in the frigid waters for more than a few minutes.

A Fairhaven Fire Rescue Diver (Seen Below) suited up and scoured the vehicle for quite some time, but is currently out of the 4-foot deep waters.
