100 New Opportunities Await at ‘One SouthCoast’s’ March Job Fair

On March 4, One SouthCoast Chamber will host its annual job fair, giving businesses the platform to fill multiple positions within their respective companies. The event will take place at White's of Westport, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with close to 100 local, regional and national employers.
"If you are unemployed or underemployed, or perhaps looking for a career change, there's no better time right now here in this region," One SouthCoast Chamber's Director of Business Development Ian Abreu said. "Just about every business in the greater New Bedford and SouthCoast region is hiring and looking for help in some way, shape or form."
Abreu said job seekers can expect sign-on bonuses, as many local and regional businesses are looking to hire on the spot.
"The need right now is greater than ever and the power is really with you, the job seeker, when it comes to negotiating for a package that will help meet your needs," Abreu said.
