This strange story comes from a New Bedford 7/11, where a fight broke out on Monday afternoon over $2 dropped by one of the people involved in the altercation.

The 46 year-old victim was walking out of the Coggeshall St. 7/11 when he dropped two dollar bills while trying to put his change away. New Bedford Police say another man in his 20's or 30's stepped on the money, not to stop it from blowing away, but to claim the bills for himself.

The fight over the $2 then ensued, as the stranger struck the victim on the head with a bicycle lock and chain, bit him, and then escaped on a blue ten-speed bicycle with rounded handle bars.

The victim went to St. Luke's Hospital by ambulance to treat his open wounds from the bite, but was otherwise OK.
