You Are From New Bedford If You Remember These Places

You are from New Bedford if you remember these local landmarks , I was thinking about how things have changed in New Bedford over the years and I started thinking about all the great store's and landmarks most of which are gone today,  but were places to be back in the day 

• Silverstein's clothing, The best clothing store in NB. can you name the other local business the Silverstein family is involved in thats still thriving in NB
• Central pharmacy in the north end , A great neighborhood store
• Cove discount in the south end , The store back in the day
• Burger Chef , I think in the north end
• Coco Cola Bottling plant on Kempton Street..now the CVS and Walgreens On Kempton I think
• Frates Bottle, Every kid in New Bedford for generations wanted to go to the Frates Bottle for their ice cream on a hot summer's night
• The New Bedford Police Station on Spring St, I even think they had yellow cars
• Berkshire Hathaway Mills ....Recently torn down .Where it all started for Warren Buffett one of the richest man on the planet
• Smugglers , in the South end , a night club, it was a great place but i can't tell you any of my stories I would be in big trouble
• Alhambras in westport another great night club

• How can you forget FUN107 "Bristol County's Power Station" . That was the very first studio on Union street , I miss that place
