Pigs! They are adorable when young, not so much when they grow up. Usually the Yarmouth police are chasing drunken swine on 28 at night. However, last night they were chasing a whole different kind of swine. Four pigs didn't want to stay home and escaped from their pen at Miss Scarlett's Blue Ribbon Farm and ran way up the street on Route 6A. Around 6:30 p.m, astonished police dispatchers received a report of the pigs, each weighing in at about 400 pounds, holding up traffic and playing chicken with frustrated drivers according to The Cape Cod Times. Pigs playing Chicken, who knew?

"They were definitely not piglets," says Officer Walter Warren of Yarmouth Police. Police were quickly dispatched to the scene, where the pigs were darting in and out of traffic on Route 6A. Yarmouth police officers Mary Gibney, Mark Noone and Kevin Antonovitch rounded up the pigs and took them home so they could eat. Just another day on the job? The jokes pretty much write themselves here.
