BARNSTABLE — A Yarmouth man has been ordered held without bail after allegedly pouting bleach into his girlfriend's mouth during an assault.

According to the Cape Cod Times, Mark Beltrandi, 50, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to 11 charges including attempted murder.

Prosecutors allege that Beltrandi attacked his girlfriend in his Yarmouth home during a three-hour period in June. During the alleged assault, Beltrandi pinned the woman to a couch and repeatedly kicked and punched her. He also allegedly struck her with a bottle, poked her with a box cutter, and poured bleach into her mouth and on her face before telling her he was going to kill her.

Beltrandi's attorney says his client agreed to a dangerousness finding by the judge. The attorney says he will file a request for an evaluation.
