World’s Oldest Person Dies At Age 116

Not only was Japan’s Jiroemon Kimura the oldest living person, he was also the oldest man to have ever lived.   Kimura was born on April 19, 1897,  He died early today in a hospital of natural causes.

According to Guinness World records, he was the first man in history to have lived to the age of 116.   With the passing of Kimura, the title of oldest living person now goes to another person from Japan.   115-year-old Misao Okawa was born M<arch 5, 1898.
