Unfortunately, about a week ago, the world's oldest living cat, Poppy, passed away, at the age of 24. Poor little buddy!

I was so sad when I heard the news, but I'm sure she's in a better place (kitty heaven) now. In an interview her owner, Jacqui West of Bournemouth, England, who has had Poppy for 14 years, had said that she was not very healthy in her final days. She had been dealing with a lot of health issues and was on some antibiotics.

West also said that being without Poppy is just starting to set in for her.  Sadly, I know the feeling.  I lost one of my sweet felines back in 2012, and it was devastating.  I hope Jacqui is feeling better soon knowing her sweet kitty is no longer suffering.

RIP Poppy.
