Woman Lies To Charity, Tries To Sell Donations

The unthinkable has happened this Christmas season. You really can’t get any lower than this.A woman told a church she needed gifts for her small children, the problem is she doesn’t have any.

Wareham Police Department

Kimberly Lawson, 44, of Gatehouse Drive in East Wareham, received several toys and household items from St. Vincent de Paul Church Charities in Sandwich after she lied about needing presents for her small children.

Lawson also lied about not being able to pay her rent and was given financial assistance. She is now facing a number of charges after lying to the church about needing holiday gifts for her children then trying to sell the donations according to WCVB-TV.
