Linda Ackley had no idea she was pregnant when she went to the hospital last Friday thinking she had a hernia.

But by that night, she had a 10-pound baby girl. The 44-year-old Ackley had an emergency C-section for the delivery of her first child. Staffers at Allegiance Health say the baby is normal and healthy. The Michigan woman told "The Jackson Citizen Patriot" that unlike most woman who have 9 months to prepare for the birth of their baby, she only had a few hours.

Ackley went into the hospital because of bloating of the abdomen which she thought was caused by a hernia. A CT scan revealed her pregnancy. She has been married to her husband Mike for 24 years.
