A Fall River woman is found dead in a drug rehabilitation center in New Bedford.

Police Spokesman Lt. Amos Melo tells WBSM News staff members found the 36-year-old woman unresponsive in a bathroom at the facility on Gifford Street Thursday.

Staff administered four doses of Narcan and performed CPR on the woman before an ambulance arrived. She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Melo says just last week, the same woman was found overdosing on Ashley Street in the South End. In that instance, she was revived with one dose of Narcan.

Melo says in both cases, the woman had overdosed on heroin.
