A stun gun, cocaine and cash were seized from a New Bedford woman Thursday night.

Lt. Amos Melo tells WBSM News that the New Bedford Police Gang Unit had received a tip that a woman would be selling drugs inside a club.

Detectives went to Red J's Lounge, at 24 Clifford St., around 11 p.m. where they encountered the suspect, identified as 50-year-old Darlene Almeida.

Inside her purse they found 19 bags of cocaine, $543 in cash, and a black stun gun.

Almeida was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (cocaine) and Possession of an electronic stun gun.

She was arraigned Friday morning in New Bedford District Court.
