Seeing a few inches of snow here in New England is second nature to us but for the people of Atlanta, snow is not the norm.

When Winter Storm Leon dropped only a few inches of snow on Atlanta the highways turned into what many are calling a real life "Walking Dead" scene. According to the Weather Channel, the storm caused 1,200 accidents, 130 injuries, and at least one fatality along the Georgia roads.

More than 24 hours later many roads are still experiencing delays and poor travel conditions. Keep in mind many of the southern states are not equipped with snow removal equipment such as sanders and plows to properly treat the roadways.
