Wild Chase In Downtown New Bedford

It happened late Tuesday afternoon when officers from New Bedford's narcotics unit and gang squad wanted to question the driver of a Penske delivery truck. That's when the truck took off down Union street and hit several cars. It then turned onto Route 18 and hit even more cars.

The truck came to a stop and the driver took off on foot. The officers were able to catch the man and they also found a loaded gun. He was taken to St. Luke's Hopstial where he was being trreated last night. More details may be released today.
