Why Do You Feel Horrible When You Overeat?
Okay, so this morning, I kinda sorta walked into the donut shop, said the whole drive there I was going to pick one, needless to say, I got six 😂.
Immediately after I ate about 3, I started to feel HORRIBLE, not only mentally but physically I felt I found myself hunching over like a 50 year old (I'm 20), and all I wanted to do was sleep.
Granted I knew I wasn't going to feel good about my actions, but I didn't think I would feel this bad.
SO, why do we feel like this?
Science shows the stomach starts to swell and pushes against your other organs and now they have to work OT (never good, their overtime hours don't pay well). We start to feel bloated because of air getting into our digestive tract.
That tiredness I spoke of comes from insulin from that all those carbs which trigger serotonin and melatonin to be released (these are the hormones that make you want to snuggle up in your bed and do nothing all day).
So that settles it, I'll never overeat again, until next week 😂😉.
