The business website, 24/7 Wall St., ranked Fall River #5 on the worst cities in America list.

Fall River has made the Top 10 worst cities in America list according to GoLocalProv ranking at #5. At least they're not #1, right?

The worst city to live in in America is actually Miami, fun place to visit, terrible place to live.

The reasoning behind Fall River's ranking is that the median household income is $35,037 which is roughly half of the income a typical Massachusetts household earns. Also, around $18,500 less than the income the typical American household earns. Goods and services in the city are 19% more expensive than they are across the country as a whole.  Not only is money an issue, the poverty level in Fall River is currently 22.8%. The violence in Fall River is pretty high too.  Violent crime is 3.2 times more common in the city than it is across the country.  Yikes!

Heres to hoping the new Mayor of Fall River, Jasiel Correia, continues with the city's progress in making it a place where local and national businesses thrive and that it becomes a place where others come to build a life for their families.
