East Sandwich Beach

East Sandwich Beach is a beautiful, 100-yard stretch of beach on Cape Cod Bay. Located on North Shore Road, the East Sandwich Beach lies behind the grass-covered dunes beyond a row of gray- shingle beach cottages. Nearby parking is limited. Nice soft sand. Not crowded. Small waves. Beautiful unblemished view. Rock jetties. Small dune to walk over. Medium parking. Attendant on duty. Peaceful.

The Town of Yarmouth is home to many beautiful salt water and fresh water beaches. During the summer season (May-September), our beaches are open and staffed (lifeguards, gate attendants, etc) from 8am to 4pm. Most of our beaches have a bathhouse and two beaches offer a snack bar to patrons. No alcohol is allowed on any beach, parking lot or any other town property or facility at any time.

Beautiful sunrises, excellent bass and blue fishing, surfing, sunbathing, swimming in cool ocean waters, free Monday night concerts at the gazebo (July and August). Amenities: 900 car parking lot (fee charged in season), rest rooms, changing rooms, outside showers, handicapped accessibility, boardwalks over dunes, lifeguards, snack bar (world-famous onion rings), and off-road vehicle trails (permit required year-round.)

Boat Meadow Beach

A sweet little perch on Cape Cod Bay. Best swimming at high tide. Nice tide pools and flats at low tide. Small, but long. Grassy. Calm water. Not crowded. Small parking area. No attendant.

Head of the Meadows
According to The National Park Service, this beach in North Truro, the wreck of the Frances, which was sunk in a December gale in 1872, may still be seen at low tide. How cool is that. There is also a life guard on duty. Truro is a quiet, quaint town with gorgeous white sandy beaches.
