If you plan traveling during summer vacation this year (or even April vacation), look no further. Airfare changes all the time, luckily we found some information that could help you when you're booking your next flight.

According to Cheap Air, the best time to buy a ticket is 54 days in advance (but only for flights within the continental U.S. and Canada. If you're heading for Europe you'll want to book your flight 99 days in advance.

Here's a list of when to book your flight for different locations according to WCVB 5:

  • Tropical areas for summer (Mexico, Hawaii, Caribbean)- 61, 79, 76 days in advance
  • South America- 81 days in advance
  • Asia- 90 days in advance
  • Middle East or Africa- 119 days in advance (near four months)
