I am sick and tired of reading all the negative stories about police that have been reported lately, What troubles me even more is the overall general lack of respect that people seem to displaying towards police officers. Many of us from time to time in our lifetime will have some type of contact with a police officer, Conduct yourself properly, and they will as well.

I am very thankful that we have men and women protecting our South Coast communities It takes a certain kind of person to work in public safety, especially Law enforcement , The next time you see a police officer , You should stop and say thank you for all that they do for us .

Teach your children to respect and count on the police officer in a time of an emergency, Police are not your enemy , Your enemy is the criminal who doesn't care who he or she hurts or steals from.  This post is really about what I recently heard about a Wareham Police Officer and what he or she being recognized for.  I hope you will join me in expressing you thanks for this officers actions  The following is copied from the Wareham Police Facebook page.

JOB WELL DONE  !

" There is much more to police work than placing handcuffs on criminals and writing tickets for traffic violations. Police officers everywhere frequently encounter people in need of all types of assistance. Today was no different for one Wareham Police Officer who wishes to remain unidentified. The officer responded to an unknown trouble call at an apartment building. Upon arrival, the officer learned that the family was very upset due to financial difficulties and didn't have money to buy diapers for their child. The officer decided to make a quick trip to a store and returned with a package of diapers and baby wipes. Police officers help people on a daily basis in countless of situations that the general public will never know about, but our officer went above and beyond what is expected of him. This is a good reminder for everyone to be thankful for what they have and to "pay it forward" when you can."
