What Are These Four Black Squares on 240 in Fairhaven?

When something doesn't make sense and it's also an eye sore, why keep something up? I was pondering that exact question as I drove down Route 240 today.

On the right, directly next to the Hampton Inn is four large black squares suspended high atop a few poles. I stopped and took a good look to see if I could figure out what it is and why it's there.

Obviously, it was a sign at one point, for what..who knows. That leads into my next question, why keep it there.

I think it just looks plain stupid sticking out of some very nice trees along the road. Do you think it should stay or go?
