Weekend Construction May Hamper Driving Between New Bedford And Fairhaven

From Friday Night at 9, until Monday Morning at 6, the construction of the new bridge over River Avenue in Fairhaven will disrupt traffic on I-195 and some other roads.  For the weekend, traffic will be reduced to one lane eastbound on I-195 and shifted to the median for demolition of the eastbound bridge.   The on-ramps from Route 18 north to I-195 east and Washburn Street to I-195 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Coggeshall  Street, Howland Road, Alden Road and Route 240.  There will be traffic boards on I-195 east, on Route 140 south and on Route 6 east with that information as well.   Happy driving.
