Warrant Issued For Fairhaven Assault Suspect

Fairhaven Police are seeking a man in connection with an assault on Morgan St. Thursday afternoon.

Sgt. Kevin Kobza tells WBSM News that a warrant has been issued for 34-year-old Louis Rodriguez after he allegedly slashed a 43-year-old man with a knife.

Rodriguez allegedly attacked the victim after being forcibly removed from an apartment.

The victim sustained lacerations and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Kobza says Rodriguez had addresses in both New Bedford and Springfield, but the suspect wasn't found at the New Bedford location.

The warrant issued against Rodriguez is charging with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
