Warmest October Ever?

It's been pretty mild this month, but was it the warmest October ever?

ABC6 meteorologist Jeff Desnoyers crunched the numbers for us and says, yes...October 2017 could in fact be the warmest ever here on the Southcoast.

The average temperature for an October day is typically 62.8 degrees, but for this past October it was 70.8 degrees. That's a LOT warmer!

And an October low is usually around 41.7 degrees, this month was 48.3 degrees.

In a nutshell, it has been super mild...if not down right humid some days. And that has put October 2017 on track to be the warmest October ever.

As Desnoyers told me, there are a few days in the month left and temperatures are expected to get a bit cooler next week, so if it doesn't end up as the warmest October on record, it will rank 2nd or 3rd.
