Robbery In Wareham 

Wareham Police report A clerk at the Capeway Convenience Store on Cranberry Highway was injured Tuesday night when he grabbed the suspect's knife during a robbery, police said.

Police Chief Kevin D. Walsh said the suspect, who was wearing a mask, entered the store and demanded cash from the register, while holding a knife.

The clerk suffered a "superficial knife wound" to his hand when he grabbed the knife as the suspect reached into the cash drawer, police said. The suspect stole an undetermined amount of cash from the drawer and fled the store.

Police and detectives arrived about 7 p.m. and searched the area with the aid of a police dog, but did not locate the suspect, the chief said.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing, he said.
