Most of the time when you get pulled over by the police, it's because you've done something wrong.  However, that is not currently the case with the Walpole Police Dept. They have started a new initiative called "Catching Kids Doing Right", where they award kids for good behavior!  Just yesterday, Walpole Police Officer Paul Lagoa pulled over a woman with a little boy in the backseat.  He wanted to reward him for holding his mother's hand while walking to the car together.

When officers spot youth doing something positive in the community, police officers will stop and engage the kid(s), point out their positive behavior and then reward them with a 'positive ticket'.

The "tickets" are redeemable for free ice cream at Scoops, a local ice cream shop in Walpole.

Officer Lagoa told WBZ that seeing a kid realize that an officer is more than just a badge and seeing the smile on the kids' faces is priceless.
