Earlier this month Vin Diesel and longtime girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, found it fit to name their newborn daughter, Pauline, in honor of Diesel’s late friend and actor, Paul Walker.

The Furious 7 actor revealed her name this morning on the 'Today Show'. "While I was in the hospital, the name that I will give you is... I named her... I named her Pauline,” Diesel told Today’s Natalie Morales.

"There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord," Diesel said during the interview. "I just thought... I knew he was there and it felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."

Diesel lost his close friend and co-star in November 2013, when Walker, 40, died in a tragic car crash in Santa Clarita, California. The two have been the stars of the box-office hit movie series, “The Fast and the Furious,” and were in the middle of filming Furious 7, when the tragedy occurred. Cody and Caleb, Walker’s Brothers, stepped up big in helping to finish filming in place of their belated brother.

Diesel and Jimenez are already parents to their daughter, Hania, 6, and son, Vincent.

Furious 7 is due out in theaters and IMAX on April, 3, 2015. You can check out the trailer here.  Here's where you can watch the interview with the 'Today Show', and see his Facebook photo with Pauline here.
