Veterans Day is less than a week away and many restaurants are taking the day to thank veterans and active military members with some free food.

There are so many ways that you can thank a veteran for their service and sacrifice to their country and many restaurants are choosing to do it with food freebies.

So if you are a member of the military, here's where you can eat for free (or practically free) all darn day.

Little Caesar's Pizza - get a free pizza or $5 Hot-N-Ready lunch combo

IHOP - start your day with red, white and blue pancakes with blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream.

Buffalo Wild Wings - they'll have their "Wings for Heroes" program going all day, meaning you get a free small order of wings and side of fries.

Outback Steakhouse - the "Military Mates" deal gets veterans and their families a free blooming onion and a drink.

Olive Garden - choose from 6 popular entrees and dine for free on Veterans Day

Red Lobster - offers veterans either a free appetizer or free dessert on November 11th and 12th.

TGI Fridays - gives a free lunch entree up to $12 to veterans from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and gives all military guests a $5 coupon off their next meal.

Texas Roadhouse - has 10 options to choose from at lunch plus a free drink.

Red Robin - get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries.

Chili's - most Chili's locations are offering free meals for veterans and active military, but you should call ahead to double check with your local restaurant.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse - offering an entree of $12.95 or less for free plus a free Dr Pepper on both November 11th.

Carrabba's Italian Grill - free appetizer on Veterans Day

Friendly's - free breakfast, lunch or dinner is offered from a special Veterans and Active Military menu.

Added non-food bonus: Tractor Supply is offering 15 percent off veterans, active-duty personnel and their dependents at all its 1,750 retail locations on Sunday, Nov. 11.
