A Dartmouth vet was having trouble repairing his roof when Home Depot heard about his project and volunteered to build the rest of the roof for him.

This is all because I'm a vet and this is flipping me out. I can't believe this

According to Turnto10.com, Bill Cook served in the Coast Guard in the 1970's and he's been working with a group called Dog Tags on his benefits. The group spoke to Home Depot about how Cook needed help with reconstructing his roof and the huge corporation agreed to volunteer. Home Depot does a lot of these kinds of projects for veterans.

Cook was quoted in an interview saying, “They cleaned up the yard. They went over to the fence and that was 12 feet of something I never touch. This is all because I'm a vet and this is flipping me out. I can't believe this,”. They have even offered to come back and build Cook a new garage door.

Watch the video down below of the volunteers working on Cook's backyard and roof. This is a perfect example of the great things that can happen when a community comes together for an awesome cause. Happy Veteran's Day everybody!
