Vanilla Ice Goes Amish

Former rapper Vanilla Ice has a new show on DIY called "Vanilla Ice Goes Amish."  The series follows the 45-year-old as he spends two months living with an Amish community in Ohio.

Ice told the New York Daily News that he's been building homes for a long time, and he visited an Amish community to find out how they build things so well.    He said "They really pride themselves on using better materials and building things to be stronger and to last longer."   Vanilla Ice also said he needed permission from an Amish bishop in order to do filming in their community

Vanilla Ice, who once dated Madonna, is now married with 2 teenage daughters.
