The US Postal Service has announced that starting in August there will be no more mail delivery on Saturday. P.O. Boxes would still get mail delivery on Saturdays, and post offices that are open on Saturdays now will remain open on Saturdays.  Packages will continue to be delivered 6 days a week. The US Postal Service says the move will save the government more than 2 Billion dollars a year.

Technically, Congress will need to approve this move, but that is not anticipated to be a problem.  The latest numbers show 7 in 10 Americans support the postal service's 5 day delivery cost cutting plan.
